Keeping Up with the Gallagher Brothers
By Allison Mizzone
The Gallagher brothers, of the staple 90s band, Oasis, debatably have a more drama-filled history than the Kardashians themselves. Each brother has been making music separately for years now and recently, Noel Gallagher has announced two different tours- without Liam.
In May, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will embark on a UK tour playing small, intimate venues. They also announced a joint North American tour this summer with the Smashing Pumpkins, starting the trek in New Jersey and New York City and concluding it in California. Liam had to get his word in and reacted on Twitter with, “Pumpkins n potato’s what ever nxt," once again calling Noel a potato.
Right around the same time of the tour announcement, Liam took to Twitter to criticize his brother's choice of signing to Warner Records, rather than using his independent label, Sour Mash. Liam mocked Noel in the tweet, writing, “ooh thought you were mr independent mr I do everything on my own mr I am the boss."
Supposedly, Noel is producing his upcoming music with the company Liam is signed to, causing Liam to voice his opinions on Twitter, yet again: “He’s just signed to Warner’s my fucking major record label ting the 1 he slagged of about a thousand times."
Noel is not the only brother working on new music. Since the 2017 release of Liam Gallagher's album, As You Were, he has been talking about a new album in the works. While we most definitely can’t expect Noel to be on the album, Liam has said that the Foo Fighters are interested in collaborating.
