Vans Announces The Final Warped Tour Lineup

By Kathryn Eshenour

This past November, Kevin Lyman, the founder of the Vans Warped Tour, announced that this year’s Warped Tour would be the final cross-country run. Speculations, rumors, and hopes of bands to be seen on tour began almost instantly, growing and spreading daily.

Even though most desirable bands are either too big for Warped Tour or not together anymore, I really thought this year’s lineup would be reminiscent of those of the early 2000s. I would have loved to see bands like NOFX, Flogging Molly, or Green Day on the lineup, or really any other band that we haven’t seen on Warped for a while. Sure, there are bands like Simple Plan and Mayday Parade playing for the whole tour, but any of the other bigger bands (Black Veil Brides, All Time Low, Bowling for Soup, Sum 41, etc.) are only playing certain dates.

This year’s lineup is a bit of a bummer, but it’s the last chance to spend a whole day seeing iconic bands playing on the same stages. General admission tickets go on sale March 8th. Additional lists of the dates, stages, and bands are on the Warped Tour website.
